Tour program:

Day 1:
Lake Onega – Petrozavodsk – Kizhi Island

• 09.00 am Arrival in Petrozavodsk. Meeting the group with SIVER pickup sign at the entrance of the railway station under the clock (opposite the railway platform).
• Breakfast at a cafe. Personal belongings are handed over for safekeeping in hotel.
• Sightseeing tour around Petrozavodsk. Visiting the historically significant districts of the city and the famous Lake Onega embankment. Your tour guide will tell about the history and formation of Petrozavodsk.
• Departure from Petrozavodsk to Kizhi Island on Meteor motor ship. Duration: 7 hrs. The one-way trip takes 1.30 hrs. Tour around the museum & reserve. Total stay on the island: 4 hrs.

Late lunch at a cafe in Petrozavodsk. Accommodation in the hotel.

Day 2:
Lake Ladoga – Valaam Island – Ruskeala Mountain Park – Tohmajoki Falls

Breakfast at the hotel/packed breakfast.

• 06.00 am Departure to Sortavala (250 km).
• Tour to Valaam Island, 45 min, by express ship across Lake Ladoga. Tour around the central estate: 1.5-2 hrs. Visiting the Transfiguration Cathedral.
• Return to Sortavala,
• Lunch at a cafe, Sortavala.
• Transfer to Ruskeala Mountain Park. Tour around the marble canyon. Paid extra: riding a trolley over the canyon or boating on the emerald lake.
• Visiting Tohmajoki Falls, a place where The Dawns Here Are Quiet movie was filmed.
• Dinner on the go (paid extra).
• 11.00 pm Return to Petrozavodsk.

Day 3:

Shungite center – Mount Sampo – Marcial Waters – Church of Saint Peter – Kivach Waterfall – Girvas Paleolithic Volcano

10.00 am Departure (take your personal belongings with you) en route: Golden Necklace of Karelia

•  Visiting the shungite center, learning about the physical properties of the mineral in a show.  You will visit the relaxation room, savor Karelian tea.  Also, you can buy artisan shungite souvenirs;
• Walk through the woods, climbing Mount Sampo, a beautiful viewpoint on Lake Konch-Ozero;
• Tour to the first Russian resort Marcial Waters;
• Tasting healing water from three springs;
• Church of Saint Peter in the village of Marcial Waters is a unique monument of Peter the Great's era, and after the plant beside Konch-Ozero, it ranks second among the preserved monuments of that time. This Orthodox church dates back to 1721; its project, according to the legend, was prepared by the emperor himself.

  Lunch at a cafe

• Tour to Kivach reserve and its one of the largest plain waterfalls in Europe. Its height is 10.7 m;
• Visiting the arboretum with the grove of rare Karelian birches. Exploring the Museum of Nature.
• Visiting Girvas Canyon and its crater (the oldest volcano, the estimated age 2.5-3 billion years);

 Return to Petrozavodsk.

07.00 pm Finish, transfer to Petrozavodsk railway station.
Departure of the group by evening trains.
