About the festival

Ruskeala Symphony music festival was first held in 2017.  Initiated by the head of the Republic of Karelia A. O. Parfenchikov, this event has enriched a wide range of tourist offers in the region. The festival brought together more than 2,700 guests from Karelia, St. Petersburg, and other regions of Russia and immediately tapped into top 15 regional events in Russia.

Program on August 9

08:00 - 10:00 pm

The program features: G. Prokofiev - Concert No. 1 for turntables with the orchestra, A. Zelensky – “Beatles Suite” for guitar and orchestra, rock hits and popular English music.

English Night in an Italian Quarry

Symphony orchestra of the Karelian State Philharmonic, winners of international competitions Dmitry Illarionov (guitar) and DJ Mr. Switch (UK), conducted by Marius Stravinsky (UK).

Around the World in 80 Minutes

Winners of international competitions: Leonard Schreiber (violin, Belgium), Dmitry Illarionov (guitar). Also featuring Anatoly Palaev's A-JAZZ band.

The program features: jazz standards, Slavic ethnos, music of the East, Africa, Japan.

Camerata Vocal Group (Belarus)
