Rafting Along the River Suna, 7 days
Tour program:
Day 1:
Meeting at Petrozavodsk railway station, near the train.
Transfer to the starting point of the route: Petrozavodsk – River Suna, 183 km. Quick meal on the go.
The River Suna is the second longest Karelian river after the River Vyg. Suna has 3 famous waterfalls: Girvas (height – 14.8 m), Por-Porog (16.8 m) and Kivach (10.7 m). After the diversion from Suna to Kondopoga HPP, the first two waterfalls almost dried up, and the third has just a half of its previous power.
Preparation of rafting equipment and accessories. Safety briefing.
Rafting en route: Kaidozero Area – Lebiskoski Rapid, 2-3 km
Dinner and overnight stay in the wild.
Day 2:
Breakfast.
Rafting en route: Lebiskoski Rapid – Lake Syangaslampi, 8-10 km. Quick meal on the go.
Dinner and overnight stay in the wild.
Day 3:
Breakfast.
Rafting en route: Lake Syangaslampi – Lake Lindozero – Kovelanliste Rapid – Sukhoy Rapid, 15 km
Quick meal on the go. Fishing on the lakes is excellent. Stop in a pinewood.
Dinner and overnight stay in the wild.
Day 4:
Breakfast.
Rafting en route: Sukhoy Rapid – Dlinny Rapid – Ledyanoy Rapid, 10-12 km
Dinner and overnight stay in the wild.
Day 5:
Breakfast.
Rafting en route: Ledyanoy Rapid – Vikshozero, 12-15 km
Quick meal on the go. Dinner and overnight stay in the wild.
Day 6:
Breakfast. Day's rest on the lake: recreation, fishing, lunch, mobile steam bath.
A mobile steam bath is a good way to recharge one's batteries. It is similar to a usual bath: with steam, whisks, and, of course, bathing.

Day 7:
Breakfast.
Rafting en route: Lake Vikshozero – Koykary village – Girvas village (with its sight – Girvas Volcano of the Paleolithic era), 8 km
Transfer: Girvas village – Kivach Waterfall (sightseeing) – Petrozavodsk, 130 km
Girvas open pit is a geological site. It was formed by an ancient volcano.
Kivach Waterfall is the second largest plain waterfall in Europe with four cascades falling from 10.7 m height. The name of the waterfall stems from the Karelian word kivas, which means a snow mountain.
Having visited this place in 1785, the great Russian poet G. R. Derzhavin dedicated his famous Waterfall Ode to this
beautiful natural landmark.
5:30 pm Arrival at Petrozavodsk, departure by evening trains.
