Kizhi museum & reserve is one of the largest open-air museums in Russia. It is located on the Islands of Zaonezhsky archipelago of Lake Onega. Kizhi is a unique historical, cultural and natural complex, a particularly valuable cultural heritage site of the Russian peoples. The hallmark of the museum's collection is Kizhi church ensemble, Church of the Transfiguration dating back to the 17th century and included in UNESCO's list of world cultural and natural heritage sites.

Program:
      10.00 am Group meeting at the pier in Petrozavodsk. Departure to Kizhi Island by motor boat: the journey across Lake Onega takes 1.30 hrs. Reaching Kizhi Island. Meeting your guide at the quay close to Kizhi museum & reserve.

• Walking sightseeing tour: Traditional Russian Culture North of Lake Onega. Duration of the sightseeing tour: 2 hrs. Visiting and exploring the Transfiguration Cathedral, chapels, antique peasant huts, barns and other wooden architectural landmarks. Visiting the exhibitions featuring the history of Kizhi parish and the construction of Kizhi boats.
• Free time: 2 hrs
• After the sightseeing tour, upon request and paid extra (for groups of min. 10 persons):
• Interactive folklore program Music of Northern Villages - ₽600/person
• Lunch. Menu: fish soup, Karelian stew, tea with pastries, drinks – ₽700/person

06.00 pm Return to Petrozavodsk.
